Body Work *changed* me. 😮💨 Melissa Febos is a genius. In a similar vein, and on the subject of tarot, have you ever read How to Write an Autobiographical Novel by Alexander Chee? He used to be a professional tarot reader himself and he has an essay called "The Querent" where he makes some gorgeous parallels between tarot and writing: “Much of what I love about literature is also what I love about the Tarot — archetypes at play, hidden forces, secrets brought to light."
Body Work - yes! Same! And I have read Alexander Chee's book. I loved it. I love him. Totally forgot about his tarot essay though. I'll go back and reread it!
This is awesome, and — “You’re experiencing a new clarity about events of your past,” she said. “You’re understanding it in a new way and you’re proclaiming that truth.” — prophetic?
Katie was told she's supposed to meet an important (romantic?) figure in March, too! (Um, she's married, so...)
I loved this. :) Go forth, Star!
She told me that too! I suggested that we all reconvene at the end of March to compare notes.
I also just read Body Work! Gah, what a great book. I am fascinated by this tarot experience. I’ve never done it, but I’m intrigued.
